GUEST BOOK

Instead of a traditional guestbook we decided to do a board of cards with washi tape instead. I loved everyone's notes and wanted to share them with you.

OUR WEDDING

I'm so excited to finally share more details about our wedding. I shared photos a few weeks ago, but only just finished writing about it. After being together for four years, Kevin and I tied the knot. Anywhere else it wouldn't seem so bad, but by Utah's standards we were way over due. During the whole planning process I kept thinking we should have waited another year to be better prepared financially, but in the end I realized it didn't matter at all. And here begins an overload of photos from the course of our day.

SEVEN DAYS

Seven days until we tie the knot. People have asked me how I'm feeling with it so close to the wedding and I still don't know quite what to say. I'm excited and nervous, but I haven't freaked out yet, which is surprising. It will probably hit me on Thursday or Friday. I think I've been in denial and that's what has kept me calm so far.

There are still a lot of details that need to be worked out, and I mean a lot. Most of it probably won't get done this week so it will be really hectic. The most stressful thing for me this entire year has been the ceremony, getting a date, getting information about the nuptial mass, requirements, etc. If we can get through the ceremony, not ball my eyes out, get everything (or most) of it right, then we should be good.

A QUICK NOTE TO MY FUTURE HUSBAND

You are the smartest, kindest, and most selfless person I will ever know. You have a beautiful soul and I am blessed to have you in my life. I love you. I love you now and always, for ever and ever.

TRAVELING BY AIR

For guests traveling from California I've listed flight details (round trip) for two travel dates. You can check more flights and options by clicking here. Google has an awesome flight search tool. Allegiant has the lowest prices. A helpful tip when booking with Allegiant is to skip the "Choose Seats" option. If you want to pick out where you want to sit you'll have to pay each way and each seat varies in prices. I recommend skipping this to save a few bucks.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 20  -  SUNDAY, AUGUST 23

ALASKA AIRLINES LAX > SLC  $         249.00
DELTA BUR > SLC  $         277.00
DELTA LGB > SLC  $         241.00
ALLEGIANT LAX > PVU  $         148.50

FRIDAY, AUGUST 21  -  MONDAY, AUGUST 24

OUR REGISTRY

For months I've been trying to figure out this whole registry thing. You would think it would be an easy task, but I love to over think and over complicate things. Originally I registered with a lot of stores and it was getting out of hand so I decided to opt for a "universal registry" instead. Everyone has been asking where we are registered and I thought I would give a little overview of it.

OVERVIEW
Blueprint lets you create your own unique registry. You can add and search by room or by experiences. You can add gifts from any store or website, make a group gift, add a honeymoon fund, charity, or home fund.

Each gift has a link that redirects a store's website where you can purchase it online or buy it in store. Their "Group Gifting" feature lets you purchase a portion of a gift. When the total amount for the group gift is reached the gift will be purchased. If the total amount is not reached within two weeks after the wedding, it will serve as a credit to apply to the gift.

WHY WE CHOSE IT
I feel it's the best way to have all the items we've picked on one site and organized by room rather than having five different registries. Guests DO NOT need to make purchases online. It's just a guideline.

STILL CONFUSING
In case I did a horrible job in explaining this whole thing, I registered at Macy's, Bed, Bath, & Beyond, and Target. Most of the items on Blueprint are from these stores. I have included links to Blueprint and all three stores here.

INVITATIONS

Invitations have finally gone out. Well most of them at least. They're just a handful left to address. Our good friend Ben has amazing handwriting and addressed about 40 in one night!

We ended up ordering them from Color Quick in Provo. We were able to get custom pocket invites with two inserts for half the price. They were so nice and easy to work with.

BRIDAL SHOWER

My bridal shower was on Saturday and of course I forgot to take pictures, but I was so happy I could spend the day with such lovely ladies.

I tried planning this for weeks and had so much help from friends and family yet I still managed to run late, but I think this should help me prepare for August. I'll be ready on time and a better host (I hope).  In the mean time here's the three photos I did get.

For our out of town guests, here's a few things Utah has to offer.

BRIDAL ACCESSORIES

The wedding planning continues. I've been able to get quite  a bit done and yet it still feels there always something new added to my list. Today I'll just tackle bridal accessories. I'm still not sure what accessories I'll wear, but most likely it will only be earrings. I did some searching and this is what I found so far.

BRIDESMAID BRUNCH

Yesterday I had a brunch for all my bridesmaids. I thought it would be a bit of a meet and greet and a way for us to discuss their dresses. In the end I totally spaced taking pictures of the whole thing.

I made French toast and syrup. I realized that morning that my hand mixer didn't work so I made fresh whipped cream all by hand. At least my right arm got a little work out. I had fresh strawberries, raspberries, sorbet, and orange juice for mimosas. Here are the only pictures I did take.

I LOVE YOU KEVIN GARCIA

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
so I love you because I know no other way

BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES

Sorry for the wedding overload. It's the only thing on my mind right now. My friend Kristen suggested I go to Etsy for bridesmaids dresses. I'll admit I was skeptical, and thought it would be impossible to find something on a site with countless items. It just seemed too daunting, but all you need is a little time and a little patience.

I found this great shop called RENZ that's based in San Diego and they have amazing bridesmaid dresses. This is my favorite one so far.

ONE HUNDRED THIRTY DAYS LEFT

It just hit me that I have less than four months before we get married. I've done some planning, but I feel like I haven't gotten much done. I'm not freaking out yet, which is strange for me, so I'm a little scared I'll go crazy. I mean CRAZY. So for now I'm not going to think about that part and to settle on caterer, bakery, and everything else.

WEDDING STYLE INSPIRATION

I think one of the hardest things of wedding has been deciding on style and color palette. Besides Pinterest, I have found a few websites with tons of great ideas. I thought I would share a few of them below.

WILL YOU BE MY...

A few, well several months ago I made "Will You be my Bridesmaid" and "Maid of Honor" cards. I gave the final cards away on Saturday (it only took four months). I placed each card in a small box for them to open. I didn't take a picture of the boxes, but I still have the templates for the card. I thought I'd share them with you here.

100 LAYER CAKE PROPOSALS

Hi friends! I hope you guys are as ready for the weekend as I am. It's been a long and tiring week filled with a presentation and four tests. Although one event made up for it. 100 Layer Cake is one of my favorite wedding websites. They have amazing galleries and ideas (check out their website if you haven't already). A few weeks ago they asked their Instagram followers to share a picture of their proposal with the hashtag #100LCProposals to feature on their feed. On Wednesday they shared my picture and I"m still super excited about it!
