From the beginning we knew we didn't want to repeat Spring Break and drive for ten straight hours. We decided to split the trip by driving half way on Sunday. After a long day of road work, one lane, traffic and flash flood warnings; we finally made it to Buffalo Bill's in Primm Valley. No,seriously. A trip that should have taken us five and a half hours turned out to be over seven! Determined to beat traffic we left at five in the morning the next day. Aside from a small patch of dense fog we made great time.
It was too early to check in to our hotel so we decided to go to Zuma Beach in Malibu. We had never to been to Malibu and it was a great experience to check out the area. It's a great place to take the family. It's clean and there are plenty of lifeguards.
